Br. Francis Boylan, csc, Executive Director

Br. Francis has served as Executive Director/President of Holy Cross Children's Services for more than 40 years. He is a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross, holds a Bachelors of Science from St. Edward's University and a Masters of Social Work from University of Michigan. He holds a Clinical and Macro license through the State of Michigan Department of Community Health Board of Social Work. Br. Francis is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Legatus (national organization of Catholic executives) and the Equestrian Order of Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He has received many awards in response to his efforts on behalf of children and families.

 

Larry Arreguin , Vice President, Business Development & Advocacy

Larry Arreguin joined Holy Cross Children's Services in 2012 with more than twenty-five years of government and community affairs experience. His work includes several positions with Michigan's Governor and the Wayne County Commission. Larry serves as Chairman of the Boards of Centro Multicultural La Familia and the Society of Hispanic Business Owners and Professionals. He has also served on the Boards of Greening of Detroit, Great Start Wayne County and the Detroit Boll Family YMCA. He received a Bachelor of Public Affairs Degree from Wayne State University.

 

Paul NeitmanPaul Neitman, Program Operations Director

Paul Neitman has been with Holy Cross Children's Services for more than 35 years. Paul has supported the agency in various program management and clinical roles leading up to his current position. In addtion to his responsibilities at HCCS, he serves as the Executive Director for Catholic Charties of Monroe County, and on a number of community boards including Samaritan Center, Y.O.E., Joy Prep Academy, Michigan Federation for Children and Familes and the Journal of Residential Care Editorial Board. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Miami University (Ohio) and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Paul holds a Clinical and Macro license through the State of Michigan Department of Community Health Board of Social Work.

 

Sharon Berkobien, North Regional Director

Sharon Berkobien has been with Holy Cross Children's Services more than 18 years, and has been a member of the HCCS Senior Leadership Team since 2007. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from Michigan State University. She holds a Clinical and Macro license through the State of Michigan Department of Community Health Board of Social Work and is a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor.

 

Valerie Duffin, Detroit Regional Director

Valerie Duffin has been with Holy Cross Children's Services since 1988, holding a variety of clinical and management positions. Valerie has a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Jackson State University and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. She holds a Clinical and Macro license through the State of Michigan Department of Community Health Board of Social Work.

Lynne Alexander has been with Holy Cross Children's Services since 1991. She has supported the agency in a variety of clinical and management roles. Lynne holds a Bachelors in General Studies degree (Psychology) and a Masters of Social Work, both from the University of Michigan. She holds a Clinical and Macro license through the State of Michigan Department of Community Health Board of Social Work.

 

John Meszaros, Admissions Director

John Meszaros has been with HCCS since 1982.  During his tenure, he held a number of diverse positions and is currently the Admissions Director.  John has been a member of the HCCS Senior Leadership Team since 2007.   John is a member of the Wayne County Department of Human Services - Case Assessment Committee, Juvenile Justice Association of Michigan (JJAM) and a member of the Juvenile Officers Association (JOA). He serves as a member of the For the Seventh Generation working board, a non-profit organization which provides non-law related services to all wards of the Wayne County court.  John received his Masters Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University, a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice/Psychology from Siena Heights College, and School Social Worker certification from the University of Michigan.

 

Frank Doria , Mission Advancement Director

Frank Doria joined HCCS in 2012 with more than 12 years of not-for-profit fund raising experience.  His experience includes planning, managing and marketing major capital campaigns as well endowment funds for organizations across the country.   Most recently, Frank was part of the Wayne State University Advancement Department.
