The Haven Detention Center

The Haven is a staff secure detention facility that serves 20 young men between the ages of 10 and 17.  This program is specific to Kent County delinquent youth.  Youth are referred by the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center which operates under the auspices of the Seventeenth Circuit Court, Family Division.  The Haven facility is designed to provide a safe, secure and structured environment for youth in transition to community based treatment services.  Residents are successfully released from program when they are transferred to their next placement, whether that is home, a residential treatment program or a community based program.   The Haven is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
